The Blockchain Trilemma

THE BLOCKCHAIN TRILEMMA Introduced in 2017 by Vitalik Buterin in one of its blog posts, The “Blockchain Trilemma” is one of the biggest issues to a wider adoption of decentralized blockchain. In the middle of a massive bull run, the Ethereum network couldn't deal with the growing number of users and it caused very high transaction time and fees, especially when big events took place like the mint of the Crypto Kitties in 2017. These problems led the founder of ethereum to think about the Trilemma, which states that a blockchain can’t be fully decentralized, safe and highly scalable at the same time.** Is it still true ? Is it essential to gather these 3 characteristics ? Let’s try to figure it out !

UX & Web3

For the introduced community, Web3 is everywhere. We talk about the perspectives and dream about the moon. > Web3, also known as the decentralized web, is the next generation of the internet that aims to give users more control over their online data and interactions. It is built on blockchain technology, which allows for decentralized, secure, and transparent systems that do not rely on a central authority. > It means dApps have the potential to offer a more seamless and reliable user experience, as they are not dependent on a central point of failure. But how is it going UX (User Experience) wise? How can we design the future of our online interactions?

How to create a decentralized application (DApp) on the Tezos

In this tutorial, we will explore how to create a decentralized application (DApp) on the Tezos blockchain using ReactJS. ReactJS, is a popular and flexible JavaScript library for building user interfaces. In this tutorial we are going to build a decentralized TicTacToe based on this smart-contract that we’ve written in Pymich. This is a pretty simple smart-contract that allows user create games, join & leave games and play games. The rule is that each player pays 5 XTZ to play the game and the winner gets 10 XTZ and if it’s a draw then you will get your money back. You can find a demo [here](https://tezos-tictactoe.netlify.app/). By the end of this tutorial, you will have a basic understanding of how to create a DApp on the Tezos blockchain using ReactJS, and be equipped with the necessary skills to continue exploring possibilities of decentralized application development on the Tezos network. Let's get started ! If you get lost in the code during the tuto, you can find a full version of the App on [githhub](https://github.com/nicobuchet/TezosDappTuto) !

Tokenomics - State of the art & best practices

**Tokenomics - State of the art & best practices** The word tokenomics has become trendy these recent years in the blockchain space despite an often misunderstanding and a weak implementation in the ecosystem. Although it is a crucial step for web3 projects, many do not understand what makes an efficient token-design, and what made the success of the previous ones.

Product Management from high velocity to stable organisation

In this article we will go through the basics on a very macro level of how at Pyratzlabs we quickly build a tech-team to bring the idea of our start-up founders to market and test our product very quickly during the first year until we gain enough traction to raise more funds and organise/grow the tech-team and prepare them for the second year. In this part 1 of a series of articles we will discuss the overarching idea of how we build and manage a start-up’s tech-team during the first 2 years. In future articles we will dig deeper inside how we built, grew, managed the tech-team at our fastest growing start-up “DOGAMÍ” on a micro level (and we’ll make sure to share some hilarious anecdotes along the way ;) )

An introduction to the Arbitrum ecosystem (part 1)

The year 2021 saw the rise of Layer 1 blockchains like Solana and Fantom, which experienced significant growth in valuation. However, in 2023, the focus seems to be shifting towards Zero Knowledge Proof (ZKP) technologies like Scroll and Starkware, as well as Layer 2 solutions like Optimism. Despite this trend, Arbitrum, a Layer 2 blockchain, appears to be leading this new generation of blockchain technology.
