Meet Anthony Hayot, Head of DeFi at PyratzLabs

Introducing Anthony Hayot, Head of DeFi at PyratzLabs! Joined PyratzLabs in April, 2022!

‍Anthony spent most of his career in traditional Financial Markets, as a Structured Credit Trader for Natixis (Paris) and BNP Paribas (London, New York). In this position, he designed innovative products for hedge funds and institutional clients, built advisory services for pension funds and experienced risk management in very volatile markets such as during the 2008 crisis.

In 2014, he decided to leave the Investment Banking world and dedicate his time to entrepreneurship. Unfortunately, his initial project, OfCourses, an aggregator for online supermarkets that helps customers get the best price for their shopping cart, did not reach his target. As a result, he pivoted to the Luxury market where price differences were much more significant. This is how he met the luxury product platform Farfetch and partnered with them to build an authentication solution using NFTs.

After discovering the disruptive potential of blockchain technologies, he decided to focus on the sector where he could have stronger impact thanks to his past experience in DeFi. And that's why Anthony decided to join PyratzLabs in 2022.

As Head of DeFi at PyratzLabs, Anthony is building and bringing to the market financial primitives needed by the ecosystem with 2 main objectives:

- Democratizing the use of DeFi for retail through simple UX and efficient risk allocation
- Opening the gate of DeFi to financial institutions by removing compliance obstacles

⚡️ In his previous startup, Anthony did 6 different acceleration programs. Joining PyratzLabs was then a natural move
⚡️ Anthony never steps back in front of failures. Instead, what Anthony says is, “You need to fail 10 times before success. And I think I’m now ready for success!”
